I finally finished it. :]
I'm actually pretty proud of this piece, I've never done one that was so extensive and time-consuming with pencils. Almost every piece of the paper is covered with graphite. The proportions are somewhat off and I didn't do so well in certain areas but I'm glad I was able to finish it; I almost gave up.
This was a really frustrating piece but I'm so happy I did it. It taught me a lot about facial structure and shading.
Drawn for Rachael. About seven hours. 4H, HB, 4B, 6B. Hurray for ugly watermarks, haha. It looks so much better in real life, but oh well.

Hey, just wondering whether you did this from a photo like some of your other pieces, or from life? I guess I'm wondering because even though some of the proportions seem a little off - it has this really nice alive sort of quality to it. Like she's just going to start talking and maybe say something quirky goofy. Even though some of your other pieces are more technically proficient, I think this piece really stands out because of that quality. Nice work.
